The Un-Fond Memory

When I lay on my couch trying to sleep,

Your thoughts and words just make me weep...

I’m all alone with no life left in me,

No more I’m that person I once used to be...

You changed me for real I feel the pain,

I don’t see a rainbow after the rain...

You turned your back, never saw my tears,

Never heard me cry – damn your ears!

You say we’re friends, I can’t figure how?

What was it between us then, what’s left of it now?

Times do change, I have moved on...

A new day arose from dark dusk to dawn.

@ the crossroad

Far across the street he saw me,

The next minute he was standing right beside me...

A smile that lights his eyes so bright,

I couldn’t get away from his sight...

He looked at me but I was too shy,

I looked back at him and said a quick hi...

We walked and talked for hours together,

All of a sudden he asked “are we friends forever?”

I smiled back and said we’ll be there for each other,

From then till today we walk that road together...
